The Water and Land Resource Centre (WLRC), the Association for Strengthening Agricultural Research in Eastern and Central Africa (ASARECA) and the CIHEAM Bari are organizing the Ethiopia’ first Awareness Meeting on 1st of July 2023, in the capital city of Amhara Region, Bahir Dar.
This meeting will contribute disseminating the goals and objectives of the WATDEV project in East Africa and will be particularly addressed to local farmers, researchers, and policymakers. The meeting will also welcome representatives of public authorities, associations, and the private sector involved in water management and agriculture in Ethiopia.
Soil health, Agroforestry Systems, and Water Users’ Association will be examined as the appropriate Best Management Practices for the study area, while the social, economic, environmental, and governance dimensions will be analyzed as they influence the sustainable and timely implementation of the BMPs.
