Effects of three in-field water harvesting technologies on soil water content an

Water harvesting techniques  included the use of fanya juus (FJ), infiltration pits (IF) and contour ridges with cross ties (CRCT). CRCT are modified standard contours enforced with cross-ties, placed in the channel to reduce water flow its velocity to improve moisture conservation. IF are large trenches dug along the controle ridge to increase infiltration and to hold water as it flows. FJ consist in soil excavation in the draining channel (channel is smaller compared to CRCT).
